Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the theft of a gem and the abduction of a businessmen in Meegamuwa last month.
The suspects were taken into custody in the Homagama area last afternoon along with the gem worth Rs 20.5 million.
The suspects aged 32, 34, 39, and 48 years have been identified as residents of Waikkal, Homagama, Bangadeniya, and Wadumunnegedara respectively.
They are due to be produced before the Meegamuwa Magistrates Court today (Apr 15).
