Four individuals believed to be linked to the Easter attacks which took place in the island were attempting to leave the country to India illegally when they were arrested by security forces.
Following information received by the security forces the individuals from Mannar, Kilinochchi and Adampan areas were arrested. It is believed that the group were attempting to leave to India illegally from Mannar with the help of some fishermen.
Further it was revealed that the suspects fled to areas such as Weerawila and Adampan seeking refuge following the attacks which took place in the island.
The susects are currently being questioned by Mannar Police
