The fundamental rights petition filed against the President's gazette issued to bring the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) under the Defence Ministry, has been fixed for October 18 by the Supreme Court.
Ven. Dambara Amila Thero and Professor Chandragupta Thenuwara filed the petition seeking a court order to declare the President's gazette to take over the SLRC under his purview is illegal.
The petition is being heard before Justices Buwaneka Aluvihare, Murdu Fernando, and S. Thurairajah.
