UPDATE : Fuel price revisions
UPDATE : A litre of Octane 92 petrol will be increased by Rs 3 with effect from midnight today (Mar 12) while the price of a litre of Octane 95 petrol will go up by Rs 7.
The price of Auto Diesel will be increased by Rs 1 per litre while the price of Super Diesel will be increased by Rs 8 per litre.
Accordingly, a litre of Octane 92 and Octane 95 petrol will stand at Rs 132 and Rs 159 respectively.
While the prices of a litre of Super Diesel will be Rs 134 while Auto Diesel will stand at Rs 104 a litre.
Fuel prices to go up from midnight today : Finance Minister
The prices of fuel is set to increase with effect from midnight today (Mar 12), Minister Mangala Samaraweera said.
He noted that a litre of diesel would go up by Rs 1 while the prices of petrol would be increased by Rs 3.
The Finance Minister also said that a gazette notification will be issued to this effect at midnight.
