The Finance Ministry has announced that the prices of fuel will remain unchanged due to the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
Issuing a press release, the Finance Ministry said that the prices of fuel were not revised despite a price increase being recorded in the world market.
"The price of a barrel of crude oil has increased from USD 67 upto USD 74 in the world market," the Ministry noted.
However, the prices of fuel were not revised this month after taking into consideration the new year festival, the release said.
