The Department for Registration of Persons has re-instructed all G C E Ordinary Level and Advanced Level students to send in applications for their National Identity Card (NIC) before March 31.
Measures have been taken to notify the principals regarding this instruction, the Department noted adding that many students have not applied for their NICs as of yet.
Further, the applications which have already been received by the Registration of Persons Department contain several errors.
Therefore, the Department said that they are faced with many limitations while issuing the NICs to these students as the date for their exams draw closer.
