Cabinet approval was granted this week to refurbish the Gatambe Courts Complex in Kandy at a cost of Rs 303.5 million.
The State Engineering Corporation (SEC) will carry out the refurbishment at the complex which comprises of 11 courts.
"The court complex was constructed 15 years ago by the SEC," General Manager of the SEC D.T. Rajasekaran told Times Online.
He noted that the date on which the refurbishment would commence will be decided once he is formally notified of the cabinet decision.
