The President's Secretary has issued a gazette confirming the appointment of Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe as the Secretary to the Ministry of Ports & Shipping and Southern Development.
Accordingly, the gazette notification confirms that Admiral Ranasinghe, the former Navy Commander, has been appointed as a Ministry Secretary from March 15.
Admiral Ranasinghe served as the Commander of the Navy from October 26, 2017 until his retirement on January 1 this year.
