The appeal filed by Perpetual Treasuries (Ltd.) Chairman Geoffrey Aloysius to temporarily lift the travel ban on him in order to travel overseas will be heard on February 05.
Mr. Aloysius has been subjected to a travel ban in the ongoing bond scam investigations in which his son Arjun Aloysius has been named as a chief suspect in the case.
The appellant had requested permission to travel to India and Singapore for a period of two months starting from May 14 for medical treatment.
Accordingly, the Colombo Chief Magistrates Court had decided to hear the appeal on February 05 in order obtain the CID's stance in this regard.
