A group of German tourists have organised a soft drink 'dansala' at the Dambulla Vihara Junction yesterday and today (May 20).
The dansal has been organised with the assistance of some local youths in the area. However, the cost for the dansal has been borne by the tourists.
Organisers of this dansal offer soft drinks to devotees who return after having offered their prayers at the historic Rangiri Dambulla Raja Maha Viharaya. The tourists were also seen wishing the people for the Vesak festival.
One of the tourists had remarked that the Vesak Festival was celebrated successfully although the country had faced tense situations over the recent weeks. The tourist also urged other foreigners to visit Sri Lanka.
