The Royal Colombo Golf Club in Borella has been closed down until further notice after the daughter of the gardener employed at Brandix Minuwangoda was tested positive for COVID-19.
The members of the club have been informed about the closure.The notice said “ It has come to our notice that an RCGC Gardner’s daughter was working at Brandix Minuwangoda and has tested positive for Covid19.
The gardener and his family was to be taken testing. The gardener was working at the club till Saturday 03 October. All RCGC gardeners and any potential contacts have been requested not to report to work from today.
“As a precautionary measure; the club will remain closed from tomorrow and we would be carrying out PCR tests on contact point workers for the safety of our staff and members”, the message said.
