The Good Governance commemoration ceremony is to be held held on January 8th and 9th and the public are requested to hoist the national flag on 8th January, the government news portal reported.
Minister of Sports Dayasiri Jayasekara was quoted as saying at a press conference held at the Government Information Department Auditorium yesterday.
Accordingly, religious ceremonies such as a Bodhi pooja on January 8 morning at the Kalutara bodhi premises, a Pirith Chanting on the night of Jan.8 at the Presidential Secretariat as well as a cultural show on January 9 evening at the independent square premises.
