Presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa today (Oct 31) called on all parties forming the Sri Lanka People’s Freedom Alliance (SLPFA), to support him in implementing his manifesto, under his rule.
Seventeen political parties including the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party inked an agreement to form the alliance, at the Foundation Institute in Colombo.
In his address, the SLPP candidate observed that all parties in the alliance have different ideologies. “However everyone has joined together with the common goal of loving the country,” he remarked.
Rajapaksa, called on all the parties to support him in his efforts to uplift the youth and address the issues of the people by implementing what he said were “practical solutions” in his manifesto.
