Former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa speaking to media said that he called on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe based on an invitation extended by the latter.
Mr. Rajapaksa said he presented himself as a representative of the President and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. He said they discussed how to resolve the present political situation in the country without any further hassle. He said there were no other parties present at this closed-door discussion.
He further said that they discussed about Temple Trees and the security of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
