Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and former Navy Commander Admiral Somatilleke Dissanayaka have been prohibited from leaving the country, according to an order issued by the Galle Magistrate’s Court. The CID informed court today that the former Navy commander had acted as a consultant to the Avant Garde security firm. Acting Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara was quoted by media saying that the magistrate had also prohibited two directors at Avant Garde — from travelling overseas.
