Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera has said that the government has maintained its unblemished record of debt repayment as the installment for the 2014 ISB issuance of USD 1 billion was met yesterday (Jan 14).
Minister Samaraweera on his twitter handle said that Sri Lanka has managed to maintain its track record of repaying debts on time despite the 51-day political crisis.
He added that the government hopes to build up it's external reserves through swaps, term loans from other countries, international sovereign bonds and credit lines.
