The Ministry of Railways has instructed to install GPS devices in trains, from next week, to monitor its arrival and departure times.
These instructions had been issued to the Railways Department, State Railways Minister C. B. Ratnayake said.
He noted that the Central Control Unit of the Railways Department will be able to monitor the trains using GPS technology.
