An examination centre for the upcoming Grade Five Scholarship exams would be set-up at the Apeksha Cancer Hospital in Maharagama, Exams Commissioner General Sanath Pujitha said.
He explained that the Examinations Department has taken relevant measures to assist students to face the exams with ease, this year.
Accordingly, students will be allowed to attempt the exams in their wheelchairs while parents of children who require assistance would be permitted to observe from a distance in case the student faces any difficulties.
Arrangements would be made to provide additional lighting if required by such students in exam halls. Meanwhile, magnifying glasses will be provided to certain candidates to assist them with reading the question paper.
The Grade Five Scholarship exam will be held on August 4 across 2,995 centres.
