Two organized criminals have died in a shoot out with the Special Task Force (STF) at Rukmalgama last night.
The victims involved in the shootout have been identified by the names of Habarakada Wasantha and Meegoda Upul.
Habarakada Wasantha is alleged to have carried out the burglary at Nileka Jewellers in Matara on June 22 this year.
Senior DIG of the STF M.R. Latheef said that two weapons have been recovered from the possession of the victims.
A short while later, the official car of the Commander of the Navy, bearing plate NAHA 5006, departed from Navy House, Longdon Place, Colombo 7.
