A haul of weapons and ammunition have been discovered at a land in Uppuveli, Trincomalee last evening, police said.
Police had discovered parts of a T-56 weapon, and 95 bullets used to fire such guns.
Further, five packs containing 30 T-56 magazines each along with two packs containing 20 magazines each of a different weapon had also been seized.
According to the police, these weapons and ammunition had been hidden within a bush in the area.
