The Colombo High Court today (Apr 04) announced that the case filed against Shashi Weerawansa - the wife of MP Wimal Weerawansa will be taken up for hearing on April 25.
Ms. Weerawansa has been accused of submitting falsified documents to the Immigration and Emigrations Department in order to obtain a diplomatic and a normal passport.
Meanwhile, Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) General Secretary Tilvin Silva had appeared before court and provided evidence over the case.
Court also ordered the Government Examiner of Questioned Documents, who is also a witness in the case, to appear before courts during the next hearing.
