A high powered Chinese delegation led by former Foreign Minister and Communist Party Politburo member Yang Jiechi arrived in Sri Lanka last night (8).
The delegation is expected to meet President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa today (9). These will be the only meetings the delegation will have in their stay in the country, which will be confined to Colombo as part of a "travel bubble' arrangement due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
