Hill country residents take part in Thai Pongal festivities

News

Residents of the hill country took part in Thai Pongal festivities at the Sri Manikka Pillayar Kovil in Hatton today (Jan 15).

Both cultural and religious events took place at the kovil under the auspicies of Hindu religious leaders.

The ceremony was graced by officials at the temple and the general public.

Several other ceremonies were also held in order to celebrate the Thai Pongal festival across the country.
