Director (Operations) of Anti-Corruption Force, Namal Kumara, has said that if selected to Parliament he would serve for only 04 years.
Mr. Kumara, speaking to local media made this statement after having announced his decision to contest under the SLPP banner at the upcoming polls. He also added that he would contest from the Digamadulla district.
Meanwhile, he also noted that he met with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and forwarded a few requests to which he received a favourable response.
His requests include the release of BBS Secretary Ganasara Thero and the release of army soldiers who are serving prison sentences.
Prime Minister Rajapaksa had responded to the demands saying that statutory measures would be taken in this regard.
