The Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara addressing a media briefing said the letter handed over to Police headquarters by Ranjith Madduma Bandara yesterday was not valid and added that he acts according to the definite instructions and orders given by the President.
Speaking at Police Headquarters, the IGP further said as the President was the Minister of Law and order, the Sri Lanka Police would operate as per the gazette notification issued by President Maithripala Sirisena.
