IGP Pujith Jayasundara has withdrawn the transfer of OIC Nishantha Silva who was ordered to be transferred from the CID on Sunday (Nov 18).
The transfer of OIC Silva was revealed by MP Ajith Perera while speaking to the media on Sunday.
However, the transfer order was met with serious disagreement by the UNP and civil society groups. The UNP was slated to lodge a complaint at the National Police Commission (NPC) with regard to the transfer.
