The 156th birth anniversary of Anagarika Dharmapala was commemorated yesterday. A commemorative event was held at the Mahabodhi Viharaya in Colombo under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Meanwhile, an alms giving to mark the birth anniversary was held at the Maligakanda Vidoyadaya Pirivena. The event was organized by the Anagarika Dharmapala Trust.
