In pictures : Candlelight vigil to remember 2012 Welikada prison riot victims
A candlelight vigil was held opposite the Welikada Prison yesterday (Nov 10) in remembrance of those who fell victim to the riots at the Welikada Prison in 2012.
The event was organised by the Committee for Protecting Rights of Prisoners, demanding justice for the victims of the incident, which left 27 dead and 40 injured.
