Our photographer Amila Gamage during a visit around the city noticed that most places which usually attract crowds was found to be deserted.
With the three day holiday declared for the state sector and most companies adhering to the request the crowds in the city further dropped.
As a result of the holidays hundreds of businesses including those selling rice parcels to three-wheel services have been affected. pics by Amila
