A group of 181 persons, including 179 Sri Lankans and two South Koreans who arrived in the country from South Korea and Italy this morning were transported by bus to the quarantine facility at the Batticaloa campus premises.
The group will be quarantined at the location for a period of 14 days.
They are the first batch of persons from countries badly hit by the coronavirus who have been taken to be quarantined.
