In pictures : Protest by Samurdhi Officers
The All Ceylon Samurdhi Officers Union took part in a protest near the Parliament Roundabout in Battaramulla.
The protest had been staged against certain arbitrary actions of the Director-General of the Department of Samurdhi Development.
The Samurdhi Department primarily carries out poverty alleviation programmes.
