In pictures: Ramith Rambukwella arrested

Cricketer Ramith Rambukwella was arrested yesterday over a road accident that occurred at Independence Avenue in Colombo 07. He was later released on police bail and ordered to appear before courts on September 27. 

The incident had occurred when Mr. Rambukwella had allegedly lost control of his vehicle, which had then mounted the curb and hit a tree and a wall before coming to a halt. 

While Mr. Rambukwella had escaped unhurt in the incident, the car he had been driving had sustained severe damage. He was also subjected to a medical test to determine if he had been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
