A function was held at the Slave Island Police station this morning to farewell Police Sergeant G.W. Chandralal De Silva of the Community Police Unit, who retired after 35 years of service.
Senior officers and other ranks as well as area residents were on hand to thank Sergeant De Silva for his service and to wish him well on his retirement.
