Seven ministers of the recently appointed caretaker cabinet assumed duties at their respective ministries today (Nov 25).
Among them were Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa who took office as the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Policy Development.
First-time cabinet ministers Ramesh Pathirana - Minister of Plantations & Export Agriculture, and Prasanna Ranatunga - Minister of Industrial Exports & Investment Promotions, Tourism & Aviation, were among those who took office.
