With civilian life and work resuming under restrictions even in curfew affected districts of Colombo and Gampaha, public transport is playing a key role in getting people to work, especially in the economic hub that is Colombo city.
However, public transport continues to be operated under strict health and social distancing guidelines. Security forces personnel are also on hand to ensure that these guidelines are respected.
