A turtle that was injured after being entangled on a fishing net was recently rescued off the Bathangunduwa island off Kalpitiya. The turtle was treated by the Wildlife officials based at Kalpitiya with the assistance of the Vijaya Navy camp at Kalpitiya and released back to the sea.
