The curfew in the Colombo and Gamapaha districts due to end on Friday morning has been converted to an indefinite curfew while bringing in the Kalutara district into the same category.
Earlier the Kalutara district curfew was due to end on Thursday morning and now will be an indefinite curfew.
The three districts have now been identified as high risk areas.
Around 50 patients have been identified from these three districts.
Earlier the Puttalam district was also considered to be a vulnerable area, but has not been brought into the high risk area.
The curfew in all other districts except the Northern province districts and Puttalam end on Thursday morning and will be re-imposed at 12.00 noon the same day.
