India's Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj today invited her newly appointed Sri Lankan counterpart for a state visit to India, Spokesperson of India's Ministry of External Affairs Syed Akbaruddin said in his official twitter handle. "Minister @SushmaSwaraj calls new Sri Lankan External Affairs Minister @MangalaS, congratulates him & invites him to India." Minister Swaraj called Sri Lanka's External Affairs miinister Mangala Samaraweera and congratulated him. " Congratulations to my friend Mr.Mangala Samaraweera on his appointment as Foreign Minister of SriLanka", Minister Swaraj said in her twitter handle.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
