Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Taranjith Singh has called on Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa at the latter's official residence last evening.
Talks at the meeting had revolved around the current crisis that has erupted between India and Pakistan.
While pointing out that India was only acting against terrorist groups, Mr. Singh had stated that India does not have any political or economical rivalry along with Pakistan.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Mr. Rajapksa had said that the Indo-Pak crisis "can be resolved through peaceful dialogue between the respective leadership & by the region uniting to defeat terrorism"
The discussion which lasted for over an hour had also revolved around the present political situation of Sri Lanka.
