The crew members of INS ‘Jamuna’ pitched in with their SLN counterparts to clean the Mount Lavinia beach today.
A beach clean-up programme, organized under the ‘Green and Blue’ project mooted by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, was held at the Mount Lavinia beach today and it was joined by the crew members of Indian Naval Ship (INS) ‘Jamuna’ as well.
The Indian ship recently arrived in Sri Lanka to undertake a hydrographic survey from Colombo to Galle.
