An Indian and an American Naval ship arrived to Colombo port this week on a goodwill visit. According to Navy, INS 'Darshak', a hydrographic survey ship of the Indian Navy and USS 'Comstock', a Whidbey Island-Class Dock Landing Ship of the United States Navy arrived to the island on a training visit. The visiting ships were accorded a traditional naval welcome upon their arrival at the Colombo Port by their local counterparts.
'INS Darshak' is scheduled to leave the country on Thursday (30th March) while 'USS Comstock' arrived here making a four day visit. The crew of the two ships is scheduled to take part in a number of events organized by the Sri Lanka Navy during their stay in the country.
