A 40-year old Army officer believed to have been injured due to a shooting in Omanthai yesterday (Nov 28) has been admitted to the Vavuniya hospital.
Area residents claim that they heard a sound of an explosion at the time of the incident.
Omanthai police along with the Army have commenced investigations into the incident.
An Attorney at law and his wife was shot dead in the car park of a super market in Akuregoda today evening.
