400g powdered milk packet up by Rs. 50

The price of a 400-gram packet of powdered milk has been increased by Rs. 50, while a one-kilogram packet will see a Rs. 125 price hike, the Milk Powder Importers’ Association has announced.


Former SIS Chief produced before court

Former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), Suresh Sallay was produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court. He has been detained by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) in connection with investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks.

The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has ordered Suresh Sallay, who is being held under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), to be called again on July 1.
