Iraj Weeraratne, new director at Sri Lanka Tourism
Popular singer Iraj Weeraratne, said to be a close associate of the Mahinda Rajapaksa family, has been appointed a director of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
In another announcement, according to government sources, P.N. Meegaswatte, a former director at Rupavahini and a former consultant to the Information and Technology Agency (ICTA) has been appointed as Sri Lanka’s ambassador-designate to Thailand. (BS)
