The youth wing leader of Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) Subramaniyam Sivakaran who was arrested yesterday by Terrorism Investigation Department (TID) was released on bail today after being produced in Chavakachcheri courts.
The TID informed the courts that he was arrested over the recent incident in Chavakachcheri where a haul of weapons were found along with suicide attacks and ammunition.
He was released under the strict conditions of two personal sureties of Rs 100,000 each and foreign travel was banned for six months. He has been instructed by the courts to be present in Mannar police station every last Sunday of every month.
