An Italian national succumbed to death after colliding with a train that was heading towards Colombo from Aluthgama yesterday (Jan 17).
The incident had occured at the railway track that ran across De Saram Place.
The 67-year old victim was rushed to the Kalubowila Hospital and had died while receiving treatment, police said.
Mount Lavinia Police are conducting further investigations into the accident.
