IUSF, IUBF Conveners further remanded

Convener of the Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF) Lahiru Weerasekara and Convener of the Inter University Bhikkhu Federation (IUBF), Venerable Tampitiye Sugathananda Thera, have been further remanded till October 31 by the Fort Magistrate.

The two student activists were arrested over violating court orders. 

Earlier today, a silent protest was held opposite the Fort Magistrate's Court by university students calling for the two activists to be released.
