Jaliya Wickramasuriya further remanded
Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States, Jaliya Wickramasuriya, has been further remanded till February 09 by the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court.
Mr Wickramasuriya's bail application was rejected when the case was taken up today (Jan 27). Mr Wickramasuriya was arrested on charges of misusing state funds.
He was arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) at the Katunayake airport on November 17 when he was preparing to travel.
