Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force join Navy personnel in Hambantot beach clean-up operation
Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force belonging to JMSDF “Ikazuchi”, engaged in a clean up programme with local navy personnel along the Hambantota beach stretch today (Jan 16).
The crew are on a goodwill visit to the Hambantota port (Jan 15).
Captain Ryoko Izuma, the mission commander of the ship also joined in with other sailors to engage in the clean up operation.
