A group of personnel from the Japan Maritime Self Defence Force have conducted a training programme in Mattala on submarine and aircraft for members of the Sri Lankan armed forces.
The Japanese contingent flew in on a Lockheed P-3 Orion aircraft on August 4 and conducted the training programme throughout the day on August 5. Personnel from the Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force took part in the training.
